I wanted to post all these gifs and pictures I have saved over the past few months of MCR because right around this time last year I was struggling with depression.  I was on the verge of suicide and I was just about ready to die.

I was going to give up.

It was this band and this fanbase that ultimately stopped me from doing so.

I was on tumblr when I came across the very first gif in this set of picture, it intrigued me to see a musician stand up and say something so uplifting, something most people wouldn’t even care to see.  I had always known who My Chemical Romance was but I never really stopped to pay attention to them and it was that gif that made me do so.

So my obsession with MCR began, I started to really listen to their music, not just listening to the few songs I already knew, like Black Parade or I’m Not Okay.  I listened to it all, from Skylines and Turnstyles on Bullets to The Kids From Yesturday on Danger Days.

The reason I’m putting this up is because a year ago one of these gifs brought me to MCR and because of that it saved my life.  My Chemical Romance reminds that i’m not alone, that I’ll never be alone because I will always have them.

I posting this because if there is someone out there struggling, like I was, I want you to know that you’re not alone, that there are people out in this world who are worth counting on, believing in.

That the world isn’t as dark as we all think, that there is some light in people still.  

If I can help one kid by posting this, just as a reminder that someone out there cares, like someone else did for me….than I’ll be happy.
